LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Greetings Everyone!

Welcome to 2023 of the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe   Lots of exciting programs and events are planned for this year.

I would first like to thank Brian McEneaney for serving as President of CATT for the last two years and helping me transition from the anvil to the board room. During Brian’s leadership of the Board, CATT has continued to be a strong voice in the Truckee Tahoe region. At the end of 2022, our Executive Director, Kellie Cutler left CATT. We thank her for her five successful years of leadership in our organization.

The Board conducted a thorough search and we are proud to announce that Ed Vento will be our new Executive Director. He comes to us from Reno where he served as a Senior Business Development Officer. We are excited to start a new chapter in the history of CATT. During this transition, Steve Randall served as interim Executive Director, and I want to thank him for stepping in. A big thanks goes out to our fabulous staff who picked up more responsibility and kept the organization going. Lydia Carrillo, our Office Manager, and Denise Van Beek, our Membership Manager kept the wheels rolling for our organization.  We also welcome a new employee Brooke Nielsen who is our Events Manager. Stop by the office at any time to say hello or should you have any questions or need any help. You will always be greeted with a smile.

The biggest Thank You goes out to our membership for supporting our organization.  We will continue to provide services and connections to keep our industry going strong.  Our members employ thousands of people and support numerous local businesses and suppliers.

A little bit about me. I have served on the Board for the last two years as Vice President and am ready to serve as your President for 2023. I am the owner/operator of our family-run business, Mountain Forge, Inc.  We have been crafting metalwork in the area since 1968.

I am looking forward to working alongside the Board to make CATT the best it can be.

Here’s to another great year of CATT!
